Best of Our Blogs: January 11, 2018

If you’ve ever dreamed up goals, you might be victim to this. If, for example, you have a certain weight you’d like to get to, believe there’s a specific job that will fulfill you or salary that will signal you made it, you probably suffer from not-enoughitis.

It’s a feeling that something must be strived for to feed a sense of self-worth and happiness. It’s an insatiable need to soothe and validate yourself with something external.

The surprising solution isn’t to keep tackling more goals. Instead ask yourself what created this sense of unworthiness and what you can do to change that. Otherwise, no matter how much you achieve you’ll always feel empty. Your success will never match up to how you feel inside until you address the root of your pain.

If you’re ready to turn inward, it’s a good time to check out our top posts this week. We cover toxic shame and other issues that stem from childhood.
